Scott Masini

Scott A. Masini is the proud Principal of Travis Elementary School in San Marcos CISD and has been since 2018. Prior to that Scott was a Principal in St. Paul, MN for 5 years and also coached and taught in the same district for 15 years.

In 2019 Travis was designated a failing campus and Scott led them through Effective Schools Framework, a total school redesign process and a pandemic to come out on the other side with a B rating in 2022.

Scott was raised in El Paso and Houston before going north for college, graduating from Minnesota State University – Mankato while gaining a master’s degree in educational administration from Capella University in Minneapolis. Scott has a passion for racial equity and doing the work to turn schools into high performing educational institutions.
