She moved to North Texas to attend Austin College where she graduated with a double major of International Economics/Finance and Spanish degree. She then graduated from Dallas Baptist University with her Master of Education in Education Administration (2008).

As a first generation American her passion for improving Emergent Bilinguals education and supporting families with their child’s education has grown from the classroom to a district level. As the co-founder of her first district’s first Two- Way Dual Language program the program was grown from a one classroom program to a multi campus program. As a school administrator she continues to help other administrators build their English as a Second Language and Dual Language programs to best meet both student and family needs. She looks forward to continuing to elevate the expectations of the Emergent Bilingual students providing a rigorous instructional program paired with administrative support to exceed the needs of students and their families.
