Alma Gonzalez de Castillo

Alma Gonzalez de Castillo is a native of Laredo, Texas, and is committed to serving all underrepresented and underserved students in Texas as a lifetime educator. Mrs. Gonzalez-Castillo currently serves and leads a group of talented principals as Executive Director of Elementary Schools.
She graduated from the University of Texas in San Antonio with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Bicultural Studies. She earned a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Leadership from Texas A&M International University. She currently pursues her Doctorate of Education in Learning and Organizational Change at Baylor University, where she was admitted to the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society for her outstanding academic achievement and educational contributions.
