In this engaging session designed for K-2 educators and caregivers, we’ll explore the science behind how young brains are wired for reading, the potential effects of digital media on literacy development, and the latest pediatric guidelines on screen time. We’ll also dive into dyslexia—what it is, how it affects early readers, and strategies to support all learners. Finally, we’ll discuss dialogic reading, an interactive read-aloud approach that boosts comprehension and engagement, and share practical ways families can make the most of their reading time at home using their Just Right Reader books.
